Job Description Travel Consultant Location - Worcestershire Salary - c. 15,000 Travel Consultant required for small upmarket travel company to work in a busy and fun office in rural Worcestershire. Our client are seeking a worldly, outgoing individual ideally with experience in the travel industry to develop and maintain good relationships with clients to nurture repeat business and client referrals. There may also be some limited travel within Europe. As this role is in a rural location, the ideal candidate should be able to commute from Worcester, Stourport-on-Severn, Droitwich, Tenbury Wells, Kidderminster. The successful candidate will have the following skills: Excellent organisational skills Meticulous attention to detail Understanding of client requirements Good geographical knowledge Financial acumen; understanding of exchange rate fluctuations and multiple currency transactions to maintain the companys profit margin Good IT skills: knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel and Word Ability to work as both part of a small team and also independently manage own workload The Travel Consultants tasks will include: Prompt and courteous response to global client enquiries Liaision with owner/agent to ascertain up to date availability Follow through on sales Booking flights and car hire Developing and maintaining good relationships with clients to nurture repeat business and client referrals Upholding brand recognition and forging good relationships with suppliers worldwide We experience very high response rates to our vacancy advertisements.
